Our standard cedar stockade privacy fence is the most economical wood fence option. You can opt for pre-built cedar panels, or we can custom build it for a beautiful, tailored look. Cedar is a naturally attractive material that has been used for fencing longer than ornamental iron, aluminum, and metal, but not as long as stone fencing.

Cedar fence heights can be customized to fit your needs, with the most common sizes in Oklahoma being 6′ and 8′. Choose between 4″ or 6″ wide pickets and decide how close together the pickets are placed on our custom-built fences. They can be stained in various shades or painted in any color, adding a personal touch and helping to preserve the wood. Some clients prefer the natural wood grain appearance.

Horizontal fences have recently become popular in central Oklahoma. With an intelligent layout and thoughtful materials, a horizontal fence can turn an ordinary yard into an outdoor show-stopper. Sometimes called “good neighbor fences” because they look good from both sides, the uninterrupted lines of a horizontal fence draw the eye into the distance, making outdoor areas appear more spacious.

Cap & Trim is a beautiful addition to any cedar privacy fence. It’s commonly added to standard cedar privacy fences, horizontal designs, and board-on-board fences. The flat cap along the top, sometimes called a “critter run,” creates a very sturdy appearance and fence.

Shadowbox fences are designed to look good on both sides. You don’t have to worry about which side faces in or out, making it “neighbor-friendly” except for the inside posts. The design allows air to flow through the fence, extending its lifespan. Consider weed-eating underneath the fence, as a picket on both sides creates a 2-3” area underneath that is difficult to maintain.

Board-on-board privacy fences provide enhanced security and privacy. When a standard privacy fence is installed, the wood dries out and causes the fence pickets to shrink, creating gaps. To avoid this, we suggest building a board-on-board privacy fence. Each 6-inch board is overlapped by another 6-inch board, with a 3/4-inch overlap on both sides. As the boards shrink, they do not create daylight gaps. Board-on-board fences can be installed vertically or horizontally and can be enhanced with cap & trim for a more appealing look.

For those interested in containment rather than privacy, a custom wood picket fence might be the right choice. In Oklahoma, picket fences typically average 4ft in height. However, if a taller fence is needed, such as for a big dog, we can build it to meet your needs. For a cottage look, some clients opt for a 3-foot-tall version. A cedar runner is installed along the bottom of your fence to add beauty and protect your investment. It helps protect the fence from standing water or lawn equipment such as weedeaters.
